FAQs
How long does my hair need to be for waxing?
Hair should be about the length of a grain of rice (¼ inch) so the wax can grip it properly. This is usually about 2–3 weeks of growth after shaving.
Can I get waxed while on my period?
Yes, you can! Just wear a clean tampon or menstrual cup. Keep in mind you may be more sensitive to discomfort during this time.
Can I get waxed while pregnant?
Yes. Many pregnant clients wax throughout their pregnancy, even up until their due date. If you’re in your third trimester, please check with your doctor first. I have an adjustable bed so you’re not laying flat on your back.
Do you offer intimate waxing for men?
No, I do not offer intimate (Brazilian or bikini) waxing for men. However, I do offer all other body waxing services for male clients.
What is a Brazilian wax?
A Brazilian removes all the hair from the front, middle, and back (including between the cheeks). You can choose to leave a strip or triangle in the front if you’d like.
FAQs
Does waxing hurt?
There is some discomfort, especially with your first wax, but it gets easier each time. The process is quick, and I use techniques to minimize pain and make you as comfortable as possible.
How long does a wax last?
Results typically last 3–4 weeks, depending on your hair growth cycle. With regular waxing, hair grows back softer and finer.
What should I do before my appointment?
Exfoliate the day before, avoid heavy lotions or oils the day of, and make sure your hair is the right length (¼ inch).
What should I do after my wax?
Avoid heat, friction, tight clothing, and workouts for the first 24 hours. Exfoliate regularly between waxes and moisturize to prevent ingrown hairs.
Can I shave between waxes?
It’s best not to shave, as it disrupts your hair growth cycle. Sticking with waxing helps you get smoother, longer-lasting results.
